Fathom Analytics builds usage-based billing infrastructure for SaaS companies. Our platform team owns the services that meter, price, and invoice billions of events a month, and we’re looking for a backend engineer to help us scale it.
This is a hands-on role: you’ll be writing Go, reviewing schema changes, and thinking carefully about correctness in a system where a rounding error is a customer support ticket.
What you’ll do
- Design and build services in Go that process high-volume metering events
- Improve the reliability of our billing pipeline, including idempotency and reconciliation
- Participate in an on-call rotation (roughly one week in six)
- Work closely with product on pricing model edge cases
